Corporate Sponsor Reminder
As we are nearing the end of the golf season, I just wanted to give you a reminder to focus on your Corporate Sponsors. If I can be of any help with this process, please let me know.

Thanks,

Coach Bruce
Attention Senior Male Golfers
At the Halls football game Thursday night, the golf team and our homecoming queen candidate, Lauren Ownby, had a booth to raise money for the golf team. Each member of the golf team was asked to give some of their time and help out at the booth during the game. The only members of the golf team that did not help out were our three senior male golfers. This is to raise money for the golf team and you are members of that team. The money that is being raised might possibly help out with the cost of future tournaments - State Tournament for example - that you might be a part of at the end of the season. At future homecoming fundraiser events, I need you to please display a little more effort to do your part to help out Lauren and the golf team. If for some reason you were not at the game, then I guess this announcement does not apply to you.

Thank you,

Coach Bruce
Lauren Ownby for Homecoming Queen - Fundraising Events!
Lauren Ownby is running for Homecoming Queen for the golf team. This is required for any team or club at PHS - you must run a Homecoming Queen if youwant to do any other fundraising during the school year! The following are the events that Lauren and her family have scheduled - everyone on the golf team is highlly encouraged to participate in these events (Ms. Ownby will let me know who has and has not participated):

1) At the Halls Football Game on Thursday, 9/2, there will be a fundraising booth with a putting green/putting contest. Everyone who is at the game should be able to give some of their time to help out with this event. Contact Ms. Hawkins (604-6875) or Ms. Ownby (604-7537 or 938-9347) with any questions and to let them know when they can expect you to help with this fundraiser.

2) Saturday (9/4/10), we will be participating in a school-wide garage sale in the PHS front parking lot from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Ms. Ownby needs your stuff and your service. This is a good time to clean out the garage or attic and donate your stuff to the cause. Any donations are welcome. Please contact Ms. Ownby (604-7537) to make arrangements to have your items picked up or where you need to deliver them (Home Address: 3016 Shropshire). Please do the best you can to participate and help out by donating what you can that will help with the garage sale. Also, if you can at all work the garage sale, please contact Ms. Ownby and let her know ASAP - try to give a little of your time. If you want a letter for tax purposes or want your items returned after the sale, Ms. Ownby will need your name and a list of the items donated.

3) Lastly, at the home football game on Friday, 9/17/10, (vs. Anderson County) we will have a dunking booth at the game. Coach Bruce will be the dunkee (anyone (golf team member or parent) else who would like to volunteer to be dunked is greatly welcome)! Please notify Ms. Ownby (604-7537) if you can be a dunkee or help work the booth.

Again, your help is greatly appreciated and highly encouraged. Support Lauren and her family - do not allow them to do all the work! They are putting alot of time and effort into raising money for your golf team.

Thanks,
Coach Bruce
Important Public Notice!
During a coaches' meeting this week at PHS, our Athletic Director, Mark Majors, asked the coaches to please share an important "Public Notice" with our parents and players. This Public Notice deals with the following topics: discrimination, harassment and bullying. If you have a moment, please take a look at the document to make you further aware of the rights of your young adults and your families - it is located in the "Team Information" section of our website.
